Today I will Show you How To Make Tuna Noodle Casserole.
- Three Cans Of Tuna
- Ice Cream
- A Cup Of Cheese
- Some Green Beans
1I have boiled one large bag of raw egg noodles and I have drained them and I wanted to start at this point because I saw no point in starting any sooner you all know how to boil some noodles so boil those up and drain them and then in this pot that I cook the noodles in. I’m going to add I’ve got three cans of tuna just use whatever your favorite tuna is if you like tuna in water tuna in oil chunk like chunk white or albacore this happens to be albacore solid albacore in water and I opened up three cans so I could see how much that was gonna be and I think I’m going to open up that for can does it occur to any of you that tuna cans are getting smaller and tuna prices are getting high it’s just like the ice cream ice cream containers that’s smaller but the price didn’t go down they went up right.
2Now you’re getting ice cream and it’s not even – it’s not even half a gallon more it’s – and it’s three three pints right it’s not even four four pipes which is two quarts or a half a gallon and tuna is the same tuna cans are getting smaller but the prices going up I don’t know we what they’re feeding the tuna but it must be something really great cuz tuna casserole used to be a budget meal piece of paper it is a piece of paper all right tuna, what are we putting tuna casserole this is cream of mushroom no this is cream of celery you can use cream of celery cream of asparagus cream of mushroom cream of chicken you can use cream of chicken mushroom whatever cream soup you like don’t use golden mushroom that’s different that’s what we used in our chicken crock pot beyond the night but if you’re going for a budget meal.
3I would go totally creamy chicken I mean cream of mushroom both hands the cream of celery tends to be a little pricey sometimes this is one I think this is a 10 ounce can of mushroom stems and pieces and we’re going to throw the water in with it you’ll notice I also threw the water from the tuna in there with it and this is a four ounce can of sliced black olives brain drain this is drained don’t put the black olive juice in there because it’s too salty and it’s brown and it will make your sauce look really hideous of course it is we but but don’t put the juice in there because it’s too briny.
4It will make your tuna casserole taste real piccoli okay so here I have four cups of grated sharp cheddar cheese and I’m going to take about half of it and yes there’s a– not a lot of cheese in here this is going to serve anywhere eight to ten people so I’ll just nip all those nasty little comments in the bud right now just stir this all up now we left all the the liquid from the mushrooms and the tuna we left in here and that’s going to thin it out just a bit but it’s still a little thick so I’m going to splash some milk in here I’ll just use the rest of this box milk let’s see that’s probably about a cup maybe a little less I don’t like the casserole to come out to dry like it to be nice and moist I don’t like it to be runny but I do like it to be moist and I like it to be creamy okay so we’re going to take our noodles and these are broad egg noodles.
5Now when I was a kid my mom used to make a tuna casserole but she didn’t make tuna casserole anything like this my mom’s tuna casserole was a box of Kraft macaroni and cheese in two cans of tuna you cook the macaroni and cheese directed on the Box you throw a cup of cheese in with the macaroni and cheese you throw the tuna in there you throw some mushrooms in there just like I did and some black olives you put in a casserole dish you top it with cheese and crushed potato chips. So put that in your pan this is just 1/2 steam table pan which is equivalent to a 9 by 13 pan we’re going to take the rest of this cheese spread it on the top.
6I’ve got my oven preheated to 350 degrees and we’re going to toss it in the oven I’m going to get a pan because it’s kind of heavy insulin 350 degrees I’m gonna put it in there for a half an hour till it’s bubbly and then we’re going to come back and fix you a plate and then we’re going to have a nice vegetable side to go along with it. I put your tomatoes right next to it and what this is one of our favorite sides to go with tuna casserole and it’s just some stewed tomatoes and some green beans together i drained the green beans and I put them in there and it makes a pretty accompaniment to the tuna casserole and we’re eating off paper bowls because the dishwasher is too full to fit any dinner dishes in it.
