I Wanna Share With You A Recipe For My Soba Noodle Salad Recipe.
- Soba Noodles
- Some Sugar
- Snap Peas
- Some Bell Pepper
- Pinch Of Sugar
- Sesame Oil
- Canola Oil
- Vegetables Oil
- Rice Wine Vinegar
- Soy Sauce
1I know from my soba noodle soup a lot of you have been requesting more recipes using soba noodles or buckwheat noodles so, here’s another. one let me take you already ingredients so we can get started I’ve got some sugar snap peas and I’ve just kind of run my knife through them to cut them in bite-sized pieces some bell pepper, scallions, cilantro, mint I’ve got garlic, ginger, jalapeno, lime, carrot, pinch of sugar. I’ve got some soy sauce which is a small little dash of sesame oil in there. I also got some rice wine vinegar. I’ve got some canola oil you could use vegetable oil or
any flavorless oil and of course your buckwheat noodles now. I’ve got some water here coming up to a boil it’s not there yet you could make this recipe using spaghetti if, you wanted to I prefer the buckwheat noodles. which is what I use but it’s completely up to you now you know what the first thing. I’m going to do is.
2I’m going to take my mint and cilantro.I’m gonna give everything a really nice good chop because these are the herbs are going to go through the
entire salad and just give it tons of fresh bright flavor right put them all in there now you could use a ton of different vegetables if, you wanted to you can use some cooked vegetables if, you’ve got some leftover these are kind of usually. what I use so that’s.what I mean showing you today. I take my carrot. I’m just going to peel it and then whoops.I’m not going to use a whole carrot otherwise it’ll be a little bit too much. I’m just
going to take my box grater actually. I’m gonna do it on the board so, you can see and just shred it put that right in there adds lovely sweetness now while.we’re waiting for our words come to a boil. which is right just about there.
3I’m going to take a microplane zester. I’m going to grate some ginger and garlic. we’ll start with the garlic because I’m going to put this directly
in the dressing so, I wanted to be kind of fine awesome now to that. I’m going to add in my soy sauce now I put my little drop of sesame seed oil running. I don’t know if you can see the little oil floating on the very top because. I didn’t want to get other container dirty and because. I needed such a small amount of it it’s like there’s no both all enough fat and I’ve got my rice wine vinegar and to that. I’m going to add in a pinch
of sugar just to kind of balance everything out from the vinegar and the lime juice that. I’m going to put in here. I’m going to put in about a tablespoon of lime juice it sounds a bit odd but really it’s a wonderful wonderful dressing and in this recipe if, you wanted to you could add some cooked chicken cooked prawns like shrimp cooked calamari.
I mean it would be delicious absolutely delicious if you had some left over me why not now take in the jalapeno I’m going to cut that in half take
the seeds out I don’t want this to be too too spicy. you know I mean if you can handle it by all means like yourself out. I mean literally. you’ll knock yourself out if, you use too much spice but and you know half of one nicely chopped is going to be plenty now I’m not going to solve this because the soy sauce is salty so that kind of acting like our seasoning and also. I’m going to I already have salt in my water for the noodles so, I don’t want to
add too much salt so this is going to be plenty to season all of that I’m just going to leave this aside here for a few minutes my water is up to a boil. I’m adding in my noodles these only cook for four minutes so keep your eye on them and then. you want to drain them and rinse them under cold water. I’ll show you what they look like when they’re done my noodles cook for about four minutes and then.
5I drain them and rinse them under cold water want to stop. you from cooking and also because soba noodles got a lot of starch on them so, you want to make sure you wash it off setting up to my veggies and now time to add this glorious dressing it’s going to be delicious and as good as this is right now and it really is it’s going to be ten times better once. I put this in the fridge let it sit for a few hours magnificent. I mean really those flavors just do something magical to those noodles it kind of like the noodles kind of soak them all up the veggies get coated and kind of marinate for a while now dressing it’s it’s delicious it’s fantastic for lunch it’s fantastic for company because. you can make it ahead of time and it tastes even better great let’s serve up just a tiny bit because again.
6I’m gonna put this into the fridge but I want to give this a go use this work let’s see. I’ve got my noodles. I’m a pepper. I’m trying to get it all on here let’s see how do. I do scallion mmm now dressing out of balance it’s absolutely delicious keep that dressing in your repertoire for any kind of salad that you want to make and you want to dress up a little bit with the dressing it’s really delicious.
