  • Canned
  • Juice
  • Some Onion
  • Green Pepper
  • Anaheim Chili
  • Paprika Cumin
  • Mexican Oregano
  • Salt
  • Meat
  • Lettuce Or Cheese

Directions

1Let’s get started to start you just want to have your slow cooker ready to go in the bottom of your Basin just put some black beans I’m using canned here because let me tell you something they’re easy I always keep beans in the can and my pantry yeah dried are wonderful extra points to you but let’s do can throw them right in there I am doing the liquid and all because it’s just gonna add some delicious juice to this pork when you’re done chop up some onion I don’t worry about being too fine because it’s gonna cook all day throw right on top of the beans.

2Then some green pepper now I’m using an Anaheim chili here it has just a little bit of kick to it if that’s gonna be a little bit too much spice or if you’re worried about it do whatever pepper you have even green bell pepper all work but one odd thing about me I just kind of hate green bell pepper I always find them bitter and just really try not to use them I know it’s like the one food that I’m like that with [Music] for the spices I like to keep it fairly simple some paprika cumin and Mexican oregano yes Mexican oregano no it is not just like regular Mediterranean oregano which is completely different this is Mexican oregano.

3It’s what you want to use and this party does just kind of wake up the flavors I just like to push it between my hands and just flake it and let it come apart in smaller pieces it really just wakes it up yeah it really does I promise finish it off with some salt you know it all needs salt and then put on your fresh shoulder roast. I’m using a fresh shoulder roast because they have really good ribbons of fat in them yeah I know usually we’re like oh fat no it’s bad guys not all fat as bad and in meat it’s really good especially when you’re cooking it all day that fat is gonna melt and really make it tender and juicy.

4I promise that is good if you think there’s too much fat on the side or there’s an extra thick cap on it just kind of take off a thin layer of that till you get to some of the meat not a big deal just take off a little bit put that right on top of all your beans and veggies and spices and then pour on your favorite salsa I home-canned my salsa I know some of you were rolling your eyes right now saying seriously yeah I do don’t judge don’t hate it’s delicious but just pick up whatever is your favorite salsa.

5If you have a home can great if not whatever you like throw that on top and seriously you’re done put the lid on it put it on the slow cooker you’re gonna be gone all day just put it on low you can even do it overnight have it ready to go in the morning and then throw it in the fridge when it’s done [Music] I’d like to do it all day so when I come home I pull off that lid shred apart all the meat with a couple forks mix it all together with the beans and the salsa and then just serve it up obviously those practically serves itself because it’s so good but I just like to take some tortillas put on some of the meat and bean mixture. Put on lettuce or cheese avocado salsa.
