  • A Pork Butt Or Shoulder Roast Cumin
  • Chili Powder
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Ground Cloves
  • Bay Leaves
  • Salt
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Spices Measured
  • Bay Leaves


1You’ll need a pork butt or shoulder roast cumin chili powder cayenne pepper garlic powder ground cloves bay leaves salt and vegetable oil the first thing we’re going to do is just trim up our meat and cut it into some smaller pieces I like to get rid of the big fat pockets because I don’t like chrisley me and I don’t like fishing it out later so I just get rid of the biggest ones you want to keep some fat in there but it’s up to you you can totally leave all the fat on if you want just cut it up into some smaller pieces like four inches.

2Now I already have all of my spices measured out so we’re ready to go we’re just going to put it all into the crock-pot just put your meat in spices dump that all over and your oil now don’t freak out that there’s two cups of oil if you run this through a calorie counter it’s going to be insane but you’re not going to eat all that oil so don’t worry now we’re just going to do the messy part.

3Start mixing it around with our hands just mix it right in there and then slip in your bay leaves and then put your lid on then we’re going to put this on low for eight hours and that’s it I’m just going to go about my day and I’ll come home to a killer crock-pot carnitas dinner of course serving it up with tacos.
