- Unsalted Butter
- Bittersweet Chocolate
You will need some bittersweet chocolate that I have melted all-purpose flour, instead espresso powder, cocoa powder, salt, these are just some walnuts sorry pecan pieces and some semi-sweet chocolate chips this isn’t optional but I love it you need granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla and unsalted butter that’s been softened at room temperature that is it I have my oven preheated to 350 I have a 9-inch cast-iron skillet here that’s really well-loved really well greased so, this is ready to go if, you don’t have one of these do not panic all you need is a nine inch pie plate or metal like a metal cake pan and it works just as well.
Let’s get started.I’m going to add my butter make sure your butter is nice and soft and along with the butter. I’m going to add my sugar and when I find easy instead of using a whisk right away is to start with your spatula as you can see,I’m kind of pushing the sugar into the butter so that’s what I’m going to do I’m going to do this for about a minute or so, or until I have the two combined it’ll be quite stiff and it won’t be fluffy and soft and smooth but we’ll get there okay get it all off your spatula then. I’m going to add in my eggs along with a good splash of vanilla and now at this point.
I’m going to switch to my whisk and now this is going to be easier to do with your whisk and combine everything together until it’s nice and smooth okay, then you take your melted chocolate that’s cooled a little which is good because you know fun fact the very first time I made brownies.let your chocolate cool a little before you add it to eggs and then just mix mix mix you’ll see that this comes together super super quickly and you don’t want to over mix especially when you add your flour so, I’m going to add my dry ingredients and now switch back to my spatula and just fold everything together the consistency will be lovely thick and moosie which I love cuz it gives you that combination of fudgy brownie meets cake meets awesome eats yum so, I’m just going to take my time and fold everything together and then you just pour your batter into your prepared pan and like I said you don’t have to use a cast iron pan you can use a 9-inch pie plate whatever your heart desires.
I’m just going to smooth it out get everything off my batter off of my spatula this would be my little cook straight now this is an app option but I just like it I like bits and pieces so I’m just going to scatter these on top like so and all this needs is about 22 to 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven or until it’s set on the outside but still just slightly gooey on the inside but hey that’s an option if you want these cooked all the way then by all means cook them for half an hour and they look perfect but I like them just a little bit soft a little bit movie gooey in the center so I’m going to cook these for about time going to say 22 minutes will be perfect so I’m going to pop this in I’ll show you what they look like when they’re done well it looks like that’s done this baby was in the oven for exactly 25 minutes and then when it comes out you want to let it sit for five minutes the longer it sits the more it will set so you’re gonna have to keep that in mind and now I’m just gonna it’s just so gorgeous it’s if you want it really molten you would cook it for 22 minutes but really that’s an option that is all you.
5I like when it’s soft and gooey but not so much molten because I don’t want it to be like a chocolate sundae do you know what I mean and then you always need vanilla ice cream mmm for the top but like I said if you want it so that when you scoop it out it’s like oozing gooey 22 minutes always works perfectly but to me this is like brownie meets cake meets fudge eNOS meets everything.
