How To Make Simple And Delicious Grilled Vegetables.

1Now we’re going to do this a little bit different the vegetables I’m using today are just some bell peppers, this is a red bell pepper these are some green cubanelle peppers, a red onion, some chopped zucchini. I’ve got some garlic and herb seasoning regular garlic. you need extra virgin olive oil salt and pepper. Now I’m going to cut everything marinate and I’m gonna put it into the disposable container. But you can use any container that you want but I’m actually going to be putting this directly on the grill. They kind of cook up together. They get all delicious and soft and yet caramelize around the edges It’s delicious you can do this in the oven. If you’re not going anywhere, if you’re not using the grill. You can do the same thing in the oven or you can just grill them up on your stovetop on your grill pan or on your regular grill outside. So anyways the cubanelle peppers. I’m just gonna cut them into bite-sized pieces. I want everything to be about the same size get that out of here and since. I’m pretty much just finishing these on the grill tomorrow.I’m going to do most of my prep work tonight and this is you know just cutting. All your veggies marinating everything and then all you have to do tomorrow is just put them on the grill and let them cook and hang out have a nice drink maybe like a iced tea or lemonade or something and you’re gonna have a good time. Now for the seasoning I’m just using some garlic and herb seasonings. You can use any dry seasonings that you’d like you can use your favorite blend. If you make a homemade blend that’s great use that but you know, I just use some my that’s too big just some store-bought.

2You know dry seasonings and I works I have it in my spice cabinet so I figured I’ll use it. I’m just going to cut my onions. I’m going to come in just a little bit smaller than the peppers only because onions is are just a little bit stronger and then take the time to just separate them just a little bit. I’m chopping up a whole head of garlic. Now something really interesting happens to garlic when you kind of cook it for a while and it caramelize a little bit it gets rid of that like role church strong almost spicy garlic flavor and becomes really sweet and mellow especially when you caramelize a little bit around the edges it gives it such this gives anything such nice sort of sweet nutty flavor. I’m not going to chop this up to too fine. I want to keep it a little bit bigger than normal. Because it’s gonna all get cooked up anyway. It’s gonna get really soft and delicious. If you don’t have a beach near you make a beach in your backyard and grab a couple of these chairs open up an umbrella get a kiddie pool put your feet in it. Grill up some vegetables, some kebabs whatever you’ve got around and just have fun with your friends and family.

3I don’t go to the beach as often as I’d like to um just because it’s you know busy life gets in the way sometimes what are you gonna do but I don’t let that stop me from having a good time with my friends. When I do have the time so anyways enough chit chatting just give this a rough chop that’s good like I said this is all gonna get caramelized. So don’t worry I’m not gonna be killing anybody with garlic breath put in my zucchini my seasoning and anytime. I do buy seasonings like this garlic and herb mix here. I always buy them salt free because I feel like sometimes. They’re so salty it’s completely overpowering and then everything ends up tasting just way too salty and I don’t like that. So I always buy everything salt free that way I can sort of adjust it myself pepper, some olive oil and make sure you use a nice fruity olive oil a good quality olive oil. I just talked this everything up now that my veggies are marinated. I’m going to cover them up pop them in the fridge overnight and then tomorrow morning we’ll be ready to head to the beach.

4Now when you’re at the beach wherever you are you want to get that grill really nice and hot you want to get it like high heat as high as it’ll go because you’re looking for a nice amount of color on these veggies. But the thing to remember is to not cover the grill because you’ll end up steaming them which causes the water to come out of the veggies and they’ll actually start to get really mushy and they don’t color at all and that’s not appetizing. Now is it now these are going to take about 10 to 15 minutes it really depends on how hot your grill is just keep an eye out on and give it a toss every now and then making sure nothing’s burning and you don’t want to disturb them too much though. Otherwise they don’t get a chance to color. Now this makes a fantastic side dish to any burger kabob grilled chicken anything you want but this also makes a really great vegetarian dish and to make it even harder top it with some crumbled feta and it’s absolutely delicious it’s simple it’s easy.
