We’ll begin by preparing the frosting for these bars in a large bowl add three cups of confectioner’s sugar, four ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and one teaspoon of vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer at medium speed to beat the frosting until smooth, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate while we prepare the cake. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and butter a 9 by 13 inch baking pan beat 1 cup of packed dark brown sugar with 3/4 of a cup of softened butter in a large bowl using an electric mixer until smooth.
