Today we have a bacon-wrapped date stuffed with gorgonzola or blue cheese.

Ingredients

  • Gorgonzola Cheese
  • Maple Syrup Honey
  • 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Little Glaze
  • Blue Cheese
  • Salty Bacon
  • Sweet Honey
  • Some Spices

Directions

1
I’m gonna take a piece of gorgonzola cheese you take a crumpled like this not any fancy about it put it inside of it close it back up take a half a
slice to thin sliced bacon leave it there so you make it like a little sandwich and roll it once twice and around.

2I’m gonna take our toothpick we’re gonna put it through right through the center from both sides that’s gonna hold everything together we’re gonna
put it on our pan and then we’re gonna bake these at about 350 for about 18 to 20 minutes and then I have a surprise at the end now.

3We’re gonna use a smaller knife on this at the end I made a glaze of maple syrup honey and believe it or not folks spiced rum so parati you’re out
there this one’s for you buddy once again take the cheese put it inside of the date, wrap it in a bacon fold over to pick it put in the pic do this a few more times and you can use like I said either cheese it’s better than use a cheese that crumples easily like this because they’ve used the heart of cheese it’s not gonna bake as easily my opinion I’m get it’s only in a penny you can use whatever cheese.

4I’ll get right back to you and show you how we’re gonna put them in the oven that is a promise there’s your bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with cheese where do they go in the oven and you’ll see back here got a little glaze.

5That we’re gonna put on about five minutes maybe four minutes before everything is done cuz what happens is with these glazes is so much sugar on it
that it tends to burn so we have some maple syrup some honey and like I said the parati special spiced rum put these in the oven again about 14 to 20 minutes give or take and 350.

6I see the next thing is gonna be a finished product all right so as we talked about there’s about half way throat you want to start turning them use
the toothpick turn right over it’s like that number one turn over to the other side so they get evenly cooked you see this starting to come along nicely right about another ten minutes or so as you can see they’re almost done about four minutes left.

7Now we’re gonna take our mixture a little glaze again honey maple syrup spiced rum we’re just gonna dab them on just to get them all a little coating of it a little flavor it’s not rocket science yet folks just gonna put a little different flavor and you know everything we do here blue-collar cooking’s about flavors different levels different layers you got the blue cheese you got salty bacon.
