Today we are going to make bacon-wrapped banana.
- Some Banana
- Some Bacon
- Brown Sugar
1The process of making a bacon-wrapped banana we have already pre-selected some bananas and we have sliced them in half lengthwise and what we’re going to do is we’re going to put some bacon and wrap it all the way around each piece this is almost like a candy cane style and for this experiment we are using a type of bacon that uses brown sugar in its curing process.
2So it’s going to be slightly sweet I intentionally didn’t choose a hickory-smoked because that will have a little bit more of a tangy flavoring and people may not want that kind of flavoring on a banana because we want something that’s fairly sweet this will be more of a breakfast option okay.
3Right now we have the heat on medium and we’re using a gas stove this is a nonstick pan the looks of things we’re using about 1 to 2 pieces of bacon / banana half I’m gotta be very gentle with the banana because it’s fragile a now at my assistants recommendation.
4We took and on the outside of the banana on the curved part we slightly cut a flat edge to it so that when you flip the banana over it’ll have a flat surface and it will cook the banana more evenly, and make it easier to flip it with the spatula listen to that sizzle it’s going to be delicious those lovely juices.
